DECONSTRUCTION

The goal of this exercise was to spend time taking apart a piece of writing, comparable to how artists on Song Exploder analyze and explain their songs. The idea was to explore, rationalize, observe, and essentially provide commentary about the way I wrote, how I did it and why. I chose specific aspects to share insight about, so as to let the reader inside my thoughts during my writing process. I selected a poem I wrote for this analysis entitled "Istilahi ya Paje na Jambiani" about my time doing research in Zanzibar.
