ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE WORK

This research project was a significant component of my studies with the SIT Zanzibar program entitled Coastal Ecology and Natural Resource Management. Much of the coursework counted towards biology and elective credit within my Environmental Science major. My primary goal was to analyze sponge and coral farming initiatives and tell the stories of those involved. The linked document is as it appears in DU's Undergraduate Research Journal.

This paper is my senior thesis, which was completed as a requirement for distinction in Environmental Science. I studied in-vessel compost technologies and interviewed users and vendors to generate a proposal for DU based on a waste data analysis. I had the opportunity to present the results at DU's annual Sustainability Conference as well as to a panel of university stakeholders.
