The goal of this task was to take a previous work and revise it to suit a new rhetorical situation. I chose to take this research paper and transform it into a creative non-fiction piece, for a broader audience. I aimed to create non-fiction that reads like fiction by incorporating literary techniques and personal style. Through focus on detail and sensory perceptions, I wanted to communicate my experiences in a way that was not simply stating what happened - in contrast to the more rigid, academic format of the original paper. Each vignette reflects a scene from my research experience and parallels a segment of the research paper format. The scenes I've selected contributed to my research and I would say they are perhaps "invisibly" incorporated into the original version.
